Start small
Not “his whole life”. One afternoon. One true scene leads to the next.

Ask the family
Read the section questions out loud to a parent or an old friend. Record it, with their permission.
Write for a stranger
A great-grandchild won't know who “Uncle Zé” was. Say it once.
“José, my mother's older brother”
Unsure? Say so
“Nobody remembers why he left Genoa” is honest — and more interesting than a guess.
Caption your photos
Who, where, roughly when. In twenty years nobody will remember.
Name your sources
Letters, certificates, a newspaper cutting. Add a last section listing them — like our Garibaldi example.

Is it free?
Reading is always free. Every account can write some Bios and Memories for free; your Dashboard shows how many you have left.
Can I stop and come back later?
Yes. Everything saves as you type. Come back tomorrow or next year.
Can I change the look after publishing?
Yes, any time. Your words and photos stay exactly the same.
Who can see my photos?
Only you, until the page is shared. Nobody can open them, even with the address.
Can I write in Portuguese or Italian?
Yes. Write in whatever language the story belongs in. The site itself speaks English, Portuguese and Italian.
Can I write my own story?
Yes. Choose Self as your relationship when you start.
Can I delete a Bio or a Memory?
Yes, from the Dashboard. It asks you to confirm first.
